Transparent Dice...

I hate them.

Chaos doesn't need to be shiny.

It is beautiful all on its own.

  1. I suppose it's to cater to the "we prefer casino dice" crowd. Not my preference though. IMO gem dice are just shiny things for 'non-gaming +1s' to coo over.

What think you to Q-Workshop's "dice as sculptural art" range? (*ducks*)

  2. Oh, get your casino dice here then--they are pretty:

  3. Dice that are hard to read are pretty much useless time-wasters; the fact that gamescience makes them is akin to Nasa operating a rickshaw service...

  4. Exactly. It's like buying bedazzled forks to eat your egg drop soup with. I mean, you could. But why, man? Why?

  5. Well, for me it was a misplaced sense of "these will go nicely with d20% ones I bought back in the day...", but yeah, they are near impossible to read.

What are your feelings on translucent dice?

Or are you a 'strictly opaque' gamer?

  6. I like ugly opaque dice with big numbers. It's less an aesthetic thing and more of an eyestrain issue.
