Gorgonmilk's First Law

All socio-political arguments shall eventually devolve into dick-judging contests to determine whose junk is the most Christ-like.

  2. I post stuff about politics on my blog because my blog is (without apology) all about me.
I usually don't delete the comments of others unless I think they are behaving like dicks, then I do so without apology for the same reason I would tell someone to get out of my house.

  3. Oh, I have no beef with your post, Limp. In fact I generally agree with what you have to say. This is generally a reaction to the recent discussion at Jeff's Gameblog. I think it's absolutely hypocritical to defend the rich and then condemn the Union guys because they want to hold on to their benefits. And playing the whole "I earn my money/I'm a taxpayer" tune is just fucking absurd. We all pay taxes. It just so happens that it's less of an itch if you happen to make six plus figures a year. I refuse to feel bad for the rich guy. "Boo-hoo. Guess we'll be sending the boy to a state school." Pardon me if I vomit.

  4. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it seems to me there is a concerted effort by the government and the financial sector to erode the middle class in this country. In the end there will be the poor and the rich. A sad fact is we as Americans cannot compete in the world economy as regard to wages. The only solution to maintain our way of life is to slap tarrifs on imports from countries where our jobs have moved to. Unfortunately, our government seems reluctant to do so because now corporations are allowed to contribute unlimited sums of money to buy their political rubber-stampers. We are ripe for a revolution in this country just like the Middle East.

  5. @Greg: Maybe there is such an effort. All I can say is that I don't see much effort coming from the other side to defend/cultivate the middle class. "The world is rudderless." As long as the people making the rules got theirs, what's the problem? If history tells us anything, the apathy flows down from the top.

  7. I can barely imagine the shitstorm I would have kicked up had I taken the time to actually proselytize, instead of just posting "here's what we did today".

  8. @Jeff: Next week you should say something nasty about Ronny Reagan.

    THIS.
    And I would also add:
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it seems to me there is a concerted effort by the government and the financial sector to polarize the poor into fighting against each other about issues such as this while they rob us blind in plain sight.

Or something...someone more eloquent than I write that one up.
Also, my crypt cock goes by the name Kathleen. True story.
